Boulder, CO. (June 8, 2022) – Two editors at Active Interest Media were named as honorees of the 2022 Top Women in Media & Ad Tech Awards.

Amy Jones, Editor-in-Chief of WRITER’S DIGEST and Kristin Beane Sullivan, Executive Editor of GARDEN GATE & HORTICULTURE were recognized in the Content Captivators category for making a lasting impact on their brands, organizations, and market.

Originally a book editor, Amy Jones stepped up to Editor-in-Chief of WRITER’S DIGEST magazine in March 2020. “Since then, she has helped shape a 360-degree magazine brand with online education, in-person conferences, podcasts, audio interview archives, writing competitions, workshops, and an e-commerce platform. WRITER’S DIGEST quickly became one of the most successful brands in the Active Interest Media portfolio.” states Peter Miller, President of Active Interest Media’s Home Group.

Kristin Beane Sullivan took over as editor of GARDEN GATE magazine two and a half years ago. During that time, the brands saw unprecedented growth in their print and digital footprints. Miller notes “Kristin oversaw the launch of a new web site, increased their social media presence, started a garden tours program, grew the e-commerce platform and online education efforts, and ramped up the brand’s video production. While she was at it, she took on additional responsibility as the Editorial Director for sibling magazine HORTICULTURE, a 100-year-old magazine that Active Interest Media acquired in 2019.”

The Women in Media & Ad Tech Awards, presented by AdExchanger and AdMonsters honors 130+ leaders in the industry – spotlighting the current diversity and progress that is set in motion. An Awards Gala was held in New York City on June 6th in celebration of the impressive group of honorees.
